What better location than the neighborhoods surrounding the Artscape site. There are a good number of remarkable establishments and they can all be reached by walking from the Artscape site or by walking to your neighborhood light rail stop.
After a thorough tour of the neighborhoods walk to drink founder Conrad Bladey came up with the following winners. They will be included on the Walk To Drink tour of outstanding local bars available at Artscape. Get your tour guide from Conrad in the Art Car Show area near Penn Station on
Bars were selected based on unique attributes and user friendly feel and atmosphere. All sell both alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages.

Here is the list:
1. O'She's-328 Charles A good downtown style "lawyers" pub style place. Bar tenders are wonderful. You never wait longer than the Guinness takes to be "pulled". Great food menu but beware of the potato wantons icy centers unless you want to cool your drinks. The ruben is great.
2. Marticks- 214 Mulbery (Goiing North on Charles turn left on Mulberry its on the right just by the parking garage). Unique, a wonder, go there, ring buzzer, watch out for the old man, order steamed shrimp and a St. Pauli Girl. Send a message to the old man- "the beans need more cooking" then leave quickly before he gets it.
3. Midtown Yacht Club-
4. The
5. The Brewer's Art: 1106 Charles. (Going north on left) Pretend you are a student and settle into an overstuffed chair and figure out over a few resurrections (beers) how you will manage to be able to live in a town house like this one. Great atmosphere. Belgian ales are wonderful. Rosemary fries great. Desserts very good. After a few brews and you can no longer hear go downstairs because if you go there first you won't hear when you are upstairs.
6.Club Charles-
